Soup Dragon left this review about The Coachmakers

A great old fashioned Victorian corner terrace pub with an open area at the back. The pub has three front facing gables and is in white render with brown ceramic tiles and pilasters.

The interior had a couple of rooms served by a central serving bar and accessed from a green and white tiled lobby; the bar is at the front and a lounge at the back. The lounge is a square room, in white and red, and with ceiling beams and carpet floor. It also has a dart board. The main bar (smoke room on etcvhed door glass) is also in white (artex), with a red far wall. It has a white and beam ceiling and a rather worn carpet. There is a nice brown tiled fireplace, with a lit fire. It has a dart board and Sky TV, which had the footy on. There is an eclectic mix of posters, mirrors and brass ornaments to decorate the place. The service was fine, clientele local, in a nice way and background music, easy and at a decent level.

Beer; well, it was all keg when we visited, including Davenports, with Theakston's and Banks's MILDs. On this occasion there was also a decent Samuel Smiths Dark MILD on for £1.30. Also has Sam Smiths Cider and Murphys stout. There are a few unused handpulls.

A nice traditional place though perhaps a little tired. But whilst it had three keg MILDs on, a real ale would have been a big bonus. still, I always visit when in Wednesbury
