E TA left this review about Livingstone

A Victorian backstreet corner pub which is mostly traditional but has a rather odd arrangement of glass bricks rather than normal windows on the front and side walls.  This makes it feel like you’re entering a public lavatory.  Inside there are the two original bars, public on the left and lounge on the right.  The public bar is basic, nothing more than a drinking room, which is fine.  The lounge has a large TV, dartboard and gaming machines, and it has been recently recarpeted.  The landlady was quite chatty, while the other people there, one of whom turned out to be the landlord, sat quietly gazing into their beers and occasionally grunting at one another.  It all felt a bit like being in an Andy Capp cartoon.  Ales on were Bass and Doombar, both in very poor condition; the Bass was barely drinkable.  The beer quality would stop me coming back in and I certainly wouldn’t include it on a crawl as it currently stands.
