A bit of a change here, under new(ish) management. Redecorated and now with three handpumps sporting Bombardier, Felinfoel and one off. My Felifoel was pretty decent though Desmond’s lemonade got the thumbs-down. Service from the bar was friendly. Aimed squarely at the locals - piped music, pool, cheap food, darts. The grassed beer garden has been done-up, quite pleasant. Low-level of attainment required for the quizzer, gutted to leave without securing a pay-out. Pervasive smell of cleaning products in the air but better than greasy chips and fag smoke and to be fair they had only been open a short while. Certainly a lot better than before if not exactly a destination venue (yet…)

New-build estate pub. Has a bit of a reputation as a chav-magnet. Popped my head round the door to see what was cooking, one redundant handpump, otherwise standard keg selection. Decided to move on. Unrated.

Myself and my partner, a highly qualified chef with over 20 years experience, have just taken over the tenancy on The Millhouse. Our emphasis is on excellent quality, locally sourced, fresh, seasonal home cooked food. We have just introduced a brand new menu reflecting this and will be adding daily specials to the menu. We are family friendly and welcome children of all ages, and we have a strict anti drugs and underage drinking policy. We are open 12-11pm daily with a lunch service between 12 and 2.30pm and evening meals between 6 and 9.30pm. We also served cooked breakfasts at the weekend between 9 and 10.30am.
