Now converted to a Miller & Carter steak house. There is a small bar. No cask.

Massive place, branded as an Ember Inn. Apparently built because the road was meant to be the main Reading-Henley route but never materialised. Lies in an area of large wealth so can keep trading successfully I suppose. Beer has improved lately with five now usually on in good shape plus a decent selection on three of the pumps (the other two are Brakspear and Pride). There seems to be a better grip on the management side than before. Looks promising. CAMRA discount of 20p a pint.
