This is the second Miller & Carter I’ve visited, and unlike the first, there is a section of bar with a couple of seats for drinkers. The friendly young ladies behind the bar confirmed that people can come in just for a beer, like I had, but this is a restaurant chain and the bar seating is more for diners who are waiting for tables or who are having an after meal drink at the bar. There are no hand pumps here anymore so the draught selection stretches to six premium keg products, I think I had half an Amstel. Unless I’m desperate and have no other option, this will be my last venture into the M&C chain.

A large 'Steakhouse Bar & Grill" place outside the train station. Open plan but with many different areas to sit. Brown banquettes are situated by the windows with a combination of high seating and tables and low seating and tables. Its a modern, stylish kinda place aimed at diners as you would expect. That said there are 3 handpumps on the bar but sadly today's choice was 2 pumps of Wainwright's and 1 of Doom Bore.
