Alan Winfield left this review about The Lord Nelson Inn

The Lord Nelson was a three storey pub that was set in a row of terraced houses.
This was a single bar pub that had a seperate restaurant area, the pub was comfortable enough but did'nt have a lot going for it,the outside sign said free house but it was a Matthew Brown tied house, there were three real ales on the bar we had a drink of Matthew Brown bitter and this was a decent drink the other beers were Matthew brown mild and Theakston best.
This pub has now closed down and it is now private housing.
