The entrance of the Leopard leads to a public bar with high tables, a television that was showing cricket via Sky Sports and a snug to the left. The main bar through to the right faces seating under the large leaded bay windows. In the right rear is a dining area that also includes a large booth under the rear window that looks onto the beer garden. This beer garden has a patio with picnic tables and a marquee. Beyond is a raised lawn with more picnic tables.
This pub is advertised outside as the Joules Brewery tap, so I wasn’t surprised to find their Pale Ale, Pure Blonde and Slumbering Monk available alongside Beer Club 1003 and Weston’s Rosie Pig Strawberry Cider. A premium keg range is also available alongside Carling. This is a decent pub that’s worth a look.

Pub is well described below , quiet on my mid week early lunchtime visit , five handpulls with three given over to Joules (dull to my taste) beers , one to Stockport Ginger and the other to Rosie Pig cider .
I enjoyed my brief visit here .

A large double bay fronted pub, now mostly one room, semi-divided by a central flat arch but the boarded parquet type flooring is oriented in various directions revealing the once multi roomed layout. Nowadays there remains one separate area to the front left, glazed partitioning forming The Meeting Room. It is a Joules Brewery pub, the leaded windows have brewery logo inserts, the arch has a Joules clock on top and even the light stained boarded ceiling has a Joules sign dotted here and there. Unusual animal themed mirrors, I saw examples regarding lions, a rhino and naturally a leopard. There were also various antelope head trophies with the Latin names underneath each one. Exposed brick fireplaces at each end.
Some large rugs break up the boarded floor, seating at tan coloured perimeter banquettes and benches plus a few barrel tables for vertical drinking.
The TV showed muted Test cricket while a juke box background of mixed music played, the clientele group were rather blokey but not in a cliquey or hostile way.
On to the important stuff, Joules beers as said, Joules Blonde, Pale Ale(£3.15), Slumbering Monk plus a Weston's cider; one pump was unclipped. I didn't see any menus but it was about 4pm on a Friday, a board advertised bar snacks such as sausage or bacon bap for £3, fish fingers with mushies for £4.50. A sign declared that the pub has been nominated for its food at the Nantwich Festival. There is outdoor picnic bench seating and a good sized car park.
I liked it here, the pub was interesting and certainly different, the beer good and the atmosphere was if blokey, lively and fun. it's better than a 7 but not an 8.

A lovely pub just out of town. A Joules owned pub serving their ales plus others. Lots of wood panelling inscipted with information about the pub and surroundings. Very nice and recommended.

The Leopard is a large pub away from the town centre and fairly close to the train station.
This pub was quite smart and comfortable inside and it was a Tetley tied house i had a drink of tetley bitter and this was a very nice drink.
