Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Angel & Crown

Tucked away in a small alleyway, this Fuller's pub is a bit of a strange mixture. It has a few features of interest, such as the little partly-screened snug in one corner, but is more of a sports bar (with clientele to suit) than I was expecting. Rather spartan in terms of furniture and decor, with the silent TV screens dominating the bar area, but there are high tables with menus along the front windows and a separate lounge-like seating area towards the rear. Several small metal tables out front. Background music. Two banks of four handpumps, both offering Pride, ESB, HSB (£3.95) and Liberation Ale as a guest. Overall, I didn't find the place particularly welcoming.

Tucked away down a side alley off the main street, this is a Fullers pub serving Pride, ESB and Jack Frost (expensive at £3.50) although there are eight handpumps. One main room with the bar along the side wall plus a small snug like area towards the rear which has leather effect armchairs. Mixed seating in the bar from padded benches and standard chairs to high tables and stools. Wood floored with one small stone area, lots of exposed brickwork. The entrance step has some old mosaic tiling incorporating the pub name.
Looks popular for sport with a couple of screens in the bar plus one behind showing Soccer Saturday while I was in but lots of forthcoming live games advertised.
Some unusual jars containing liquid but labelled as sweets behind the bar caught my eye but I have no idea what they are, vodkas possibly?
Certainly not a stand out pub but ok for a quick pint or a crafty escape from shopping.

The Angle and Crown is down a narrow alley off the main shopping street, this is a Fullers tied house and once inside i went in the room at the front this was a decent comfortable room.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Fullers ESB and this was a very nice drink the other beer was London Pride.
