paulof horsham left this review about The Cornish Arms
The Cornish Arms is a fair way out of St. Ives Town centre, pretty much in neighbouring Carbis Bay, so is mercifully free of the crowds and, especially, the horrific traffic. The pub is very comfortably done up, with what looks like recently installed carpet, tables, chairs and banquette seating and flagstone flooring for the bar area.
2 pumps were in operation, badged for little known local ales Doom Bar and West Coast Session IPA from Firebrand, the latter gloriously cool on a hot day. Kegs included Camden Pale, Verdant Light Bulb, a couple of ciders, a local lager plus a small selection of the more mainstream stuff.
This one certainly deserves more custom than it was getting when I popped in.
