a white rendered terraced freehouse pub, with black paintwork on the Georgian style windows. It has a projecting front gable and is another place that provides live music nights.

The interior is an L-shaped room with the serving bar down on the left where the room narrows somewhat. The decor is cream and wood panel walls, with a white and beam ceiling and a stone floor. There are no real pictures on the walls or much in the way of ephemera for interest, leaving it a little bare but there is both a pool table and a dart board. I didn't see a TV and the background music was general stuff at a decent level. The service was fine and the clientele seemed to be a mixed but small band of regulars.

Beer; tap stuff with a decent Skinner's Cornish Knocker and Sharpe's Doombar on handpull, as well as Cornish Rattler and Sharpe's Cornish Orchard cider.

A good solid little pub, which like Blackthorn says below, gets very narrow at the back where the serving bar is. It was a daytime visit for me, so i had no problem with congestion, but you could imagine it. Still, i would be happy to return.

A popular pub that was very busy on a recent Saturday evening, possibly as a result of the singer that was on. A single room bar with a flagstone floor, the bar counter is a long narrow affair at the back of the pub. It got progressively busier as the night wore on, and by 11:15 was rammed. Maybe it's the only pub in the vicinity to be still serving at that time. The bar area at the back of the pub is quite narrow, and that together with the bar stools and the frequent stream of punters visiting the smoking area and loos made it quite congested.

Beers on tap were Skinner's Cornish Knocker, Doom Bar and Proper Job. Ciders were Cornish Rattler and Sharp's Cornish Orchard.

Visited this pub a couple of times and on both occasions the beer was not up to scratch. On the second occasion tried a pint of Betty Stogs bitter billed as Queen of Cornish ales, which i thought was a slight overstatement. the barman was quite friendly but in general found the pub a little untidy. On certain nights entertainment is provided.
