Alan Winfield left this review about Grouse Inn

The Grouse Inn is a small stone built pub that is on the main Matlock to Bakewell road, the pub looks a bit different on the outside with a stone pillar porch entrance.
Once inside i went in the room to the left,i am not sure if there were any other rooms, this room was quite small and cramped with very uncomfortable narrow bench seats and small stools, the room was empty on my visit but it seemed hard trying to find somewhere decent to sit,i ended up sitting next to a manakin which was dressed up in sexy womens clothes, this seemed very strange!
When i went in this pub it was a Kimberley tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Kimberley bitter and this was a nice drink.
I felt uncomfortable in this pub and did'nt enjoy my time in here.
