Party of 13 who had pre-booked. Saturday evening from 5pm. We had obtained a menu (via snail mail) and placed our order before arriving. They had given us a lovely group of tables in the bright and summery conservatory overlooking the outside pub garden. With it being a very sunny day this was bright whereas the rest of the pub was full of little alcoves and there was no real separation between bar and restaurant.
Service was friendly and fairly prompt and the waitresses serving the food were again pleasant and attentive. Food was very well cooked with good sized portions at a fairly reasonable price. Most of the basic pub food groups were covered and everybody in the party agreed that the meal was excellent. Desert menu was all at £3.95 each and covered about eight items including a lovely 'Bakewell Tart' smothered in custard.
Very good overall and would definitely book again if back in the area but do watch out for location as in the middle of a very small village and the car park is not massive. Difficult to find but well worth it.

Found this gem of a beautiful country pub just by chance in a quiet little retreat called Smalldale in Bradwell and what a find!! The beer, food, beautiful outside patio and beer garden as well as the accommodation rooms were absolutely fantastic. The hosts Jez and Karen made our stay most comfortable and welcoming. Just to add that the beers and food choices and my god the portions would be hard to beat for value. Pay em a visit its like someone onthere website says its better entertainment than the Woolpack with all the cracking locals. It ought to be filmed!! www.yeoldebolinggreen.webs.com

Pleasant old building up a narrow lane at the back of the village. There is a garden behind the pub, which strangely had no pub sign when I visited - perhaps due to refurbishment. Four real ales on handpump when I was there.
