Blackthorn _ left this review about The Robins BS3

A fairly typical looking 1970’s estate pub, it is named after the Bristol City Football Club based just across the road and is a popular spot with fans on match days when they can be seen filling the large patio area at the front of the pub.

The main bar runs across the front of the pub and this has a very dated feel to it, I don’t imagine it has changed too much since it was built. The suspended ceiling tiles like you might expect in an office building seem out of place in a pub and the seating arrangements were rather spartan with just a few tables and chairs in the middle of the room. A pool table was at one end and there were also a couple of plasma screens and a darts board. Paintwork was predominantly cream with aqua blue at either end and also on some of the wood panelling around the bar counter. A second and smaller bar at the rear was in darkness on a recent Monday evening visit.

The solitary beer on tap was Doom Bar. Ciders were better represented with Thatcher’s Dry, Thatcher’s Gold and Blackthorn being available.
