Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Drewe Arms

The Drewe Arms is set in the picture postcard village of Broadhembury, where all buildings are thatched and built in the same cream colour. From what I could see, the pub didn't even have a sign, in order that it fits neatly into its surroundings. So, you have to know exactly where it is.

Inside is also impressive. The bar is off to the left as you enter, with a smaller room off to the right. The bar had a lovely roaring fire, but only one other customer sat at the bar.

I'd read good reviews about the food here. So with tight opening times to plan around later in the day and plan to spare at lunchtime, I selected a burger from the menu. The burger was tasty, but not quite worth the price paid (in the £16-18 bracket).

Real ales on were Otter Bitter & Amber and a very below par Red Rock Broadhembury IPA. It was almost undrinkable and I left quite a bit behind. Lovely pub, but really needs to up its game with beer quality. It is of course in the current Good Beer Guide! There is wifi available in the pub, which is just as well as there was no reception elsewhere in the village, which is a little off the beaten track.
