Brainy Pool left this review about Crown Hotel
an old roadside pub, and from the outside you’re not really sure what to expect. Inside it’s basically a care in the community local now with an odd range of customers and lots of feral kids running around on a Saturday afternoon. Two rooms now knocked into one basic space splodged in grey paint with TVs and a pool table. Not the best. Amazingly there is a single real ale on the bar, but it was a pretty obscure beer (Tailwagger from Oscar’s Brewery) and was virtually undrinkable. Amazing to think this used to be a GBG regular.

Good pub atmosphere with friendly staff, however the brewery wish to sell the Crown as a free hold so it's future is in doubt.
Worth a visit before it's probably turned into a restaurant!
