Komakino . left this review about The Cotton Wheel

My visit to this Hungry Horse establishment came at a time of transition as the area to the right of the central-facing bar resembled a building site, although bizarrely, a large screen showed a Premier League game against the back wall of this area which some people contrived to watch from a distance. The usual HH trappings - garish colour schemed upholstery and carpets and meal deals. Ale options were reduced to just Old Speckled Hen (with a second OSH pump reversed) - not a wise choice for a sole ale at 4.5% ABV, although bottled Old Golden Hen was spotted in the fridge. A nice touch was a smattering of framed album covers in the corridor leading to the toilets, located around and behind the bar, including such luminaries as The Clash, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and local faves Marillion.
