Previously The Glass House, this large Victorian Marston’s pub consists of a single U-shaped bar and a small garden area at the back. There is a raised area at one end with a couple of dining tables, and there is a pool table at the other end. A large TV screen at the apex shows Sky Sports matches. There are various gaming machines and a jukebox to add to the entertainment. Two ales on draught, Ringwood Razorback and 49er, both in OK condition but much too cold. Fine as a local or as somewhere to come and watch football, but not convenient for inclusion in a crawl or somewhere I would make an evening venue.

'Infamous' rather than famous may be a more apt name for this pub based on some comments I have heard!

Busy on Saturday after the televised FA cup tie. 90%+ of the customers were male and drinking lager.

The apparent bias towards lager may have explained why my pint of Ringwood was so-so. It also came with a head only usually seen in tv soap pubs. The barman topped it up after I asked him to do so.

Not a place I would be in a rush to return to.
