Steve C left this review about The Green House Effect
I’m not sure why this place is called Green House Effect, but there is some green lighting in the front window. There is some decking out the front with room for standing and there is a basement bar, with a separate entrance, downstairs that entertains blues and jazz at the weekends. The interior is bigger than the frontage would suggest and at the rear of the bar area is a room that houses a dartboard. The bar is located along the right hand wall and is stocked with limited standard draught alongside Leffe and three hand pumps. Two of these hand pumps were unused leaving Harvey’s Best as the lone ale option. There is a plasma screen above the front window but there is no Sky Sports, although the Six Nations was advertised. Karaoke was advertised for Friday evening just gone, but I’m not sure if this is a regular occurrence.
There were about ten or so regulars in when I visited on Tuesday evening and there was a friendly enough atmosphere. If I was a local I may have used this place every now and again for a change, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.
