Will Larter left this review about The Kingston Hotel

A corner bar in what remains of a former hotel, with the upper floors repurposed either as flats or office space. The large windows, stretching around a curve at the end of Trinity House Lane provide plenty of light for the interior, but whatever pleasure I was able to glean had to be balanced against the rather loud mainstream music and the news channel on TV with the sound turned off (why?). On the bar were four hand pumps with just Hobgoblin and Wainwright on; I went for the latter, which my notes made at the time mention being "OK".

A small, one roomer, roughly L shaped. Very much a locals pub, many of whom were watching the horse racing on the TV. Lots of B & W pictures of old Hull on the walls. There's also a quiz machine and a dartboard. 4 handpumps on the bar all from Marston's. The Help For Heroes was in decent nick though. A bit rough and ready is this one. I'll probably not bother again.

The pub looks quite large from the outside but on entry you find it is a small one roomed affair with bare floorboards and a limited amount of awkward looking high tables and chairs.Although there was 3 cask beers on and the landlady was friendly enough I cannot envisage a return in the near future.

This pub is in a prime location in the old town area.
Once inside this pub had one room with normal tables and chairs and not a lot else, this pub is a Marstons house and there were no real ales on the bar the only bitter was Marstons keg bitter and this was a very bad drink.
I thought this was a very poor pub it seemed to be in disaray on my visit and the beer was awfull.
