We have visited The Kilkeney Inn on a few occasions this year, it is as equally as good as when I first visited the pub back in 2012, if not better. We sat at the front of the building, it's probably not the best place to sit, because of the busy road that runs outside of the pub. But it was the best place to keep an eye on our cycles.
The interior of the pub, is very smart and comfortable, I'm not sure if The Kilkeney is still owned by Charles Wells they were serving Battledown Ales, which were in excellent condition. The pub was quite busy with contented diners, so we ordered some food, we had some filled Torpedo rolls (Baguettes) which I can highly recommend.
I should mention that we visited on a Sunday, they usually close at 4pm on Sundays, It is best to check the opening times on the website. The Kilkeney is well worth a visit, for the Ales great food and friendly service.

The Kilkeney Inn has had a major refurbishment and is open for business once more. Set in a very picturesque part of Gloucestershire, The Kilkeney is the epitome of a classy country pub. They have Bombadier and Youngs Gold on tap, to name but a few. I couuld happily have spent a few hours in this very pleasent pub.

The food here is not cheap but it is Very good. The St Austells Tribute on hand pump was also well kept. They also had Youngs Bitter on handpump. It has been recently renovated so I hope it suceeds. All they have to do is get rid of the awful cover versions on the sound systems.
