Old Boots left this review about The Bath Tavern

Next door to the Bell, it’s another old pub a little knocked about a bit. The frontage is probably unchanged from about 1905, it has splendid windows, but beyond the entrance porch it’s a single room with a rear left counter. Traditionally furnished with banquettes, Britannia tables, bent wood stools and other Victoriania. Other than an exposed brick fireplace it’s finished in cream walls and woodwork, the counter is a mid colour wood. Three pulls there, two with different Wye Valley HPA clips, the other unclipped. It was a decent drop of HPA although one of the eight kegs looked more popular. Two big screens. Very full of locals on my Friday afternoon visit, I liked this one.

The Bath Tavern was in danger of closing last year when the former owners put it up for sale. But it was snapped up by a local businessman who continues to run it as a local community pub.
Three ales on in the shape of Sharps Doombar, Butcombe Brunel IPA and Westbury Ales Bitham Blond and quite a few people in for the decent looking food menu at the time of my flying visit.

I L left this review about The Bath Tavern

A pleasant modernised with one opened out drinking area. Quite a few customers were eating food on the Saturday lunchtime which suggests food is good. Two ales were on with the Stroud Brewery Tom Long Amber being very nice. sharps Doom Bar was the second ale.
