Cask Marque Accredited - Its called a pub and dining room but caters for both quite well.

Four real ales on - Doombar - two from Rebellion and one other. I had the Rebellion IPA at £3.90 a pint. Great condition.

Nice pub.

Another Missenden pub, albeit outside the town centre, this appears to have changed hands of late. A compact staple-shape internally, its interior belies the car parking space out back and 'overflow' car park to the right: I'm sure developers lick their lips over the plot it occupies. There's a nice inglenook fireplace on the right with original lintel and unoriginal seating inside of it. There are quarry tiles in front of the bar, with herringbone tiles to the right and boards to the left. Four ales on - Sharp's Doom Bar and three from Rebellion - IPA, Smuggler and seasonal Afterburner which was a good enough drop at £3.90 for a pint's worth. Friendly service from a barlady who actually acknowledged my presence whilst she was serving someone else (a rarity in this day and age) was negated by some sweary locals, who drop the score down to an even 5.

Flowers in good shape, Black Sheep, Pride had gone. Space restricted but good country feel at bar and friendly country lass behind it, room to rt has large inglenook with wood-burning grate, dartboard in corner. Larger area to left has more seating, tables of varying sizes, fireplace at far end with old wood burning stove, out-of-place fruit machine and tv where we vaguely watched our brave boys' scintillating first half performance ystdy, haha. I liked it, but you'd want another pub on your list to justify the journey (we took a cab to Little Missenden, £7).
