It was quietish when I was here at Friday lunchtime, with maybe half a dozen elderly couples having whatever food is on the pensioner section of the menu. I don't know if it was the fact that the gents toilets were closed for renovation that made it quiet - the smarter of the two rooms, to the left, was closed off. If both rooms were open and even half full that would put a lot of strain on the two available WCs in the ladies'! Three Robinsons beers were available, Unicorn being off. I swerved the Dizzy Blonde and the Wizard and went for one that rejoiced in the name I Predict Another Riotous Amber Ale; as I commented at the time, that would be unlikely seeing as it's brewed by Robinsons, but I don't think the lass behind the bar knew what I meant. Having said which, she was very friendly and helpful, and in fact the beer was a little more flavourful than I had anticipated. Though perhaps not so good that I'd be looking up the timetable for trains to Rose Hill for another visit.

Decent pub situated in the Rose Hill district of Marple adjacent to the railway station.Called in around 1pm on a Tuesday where I found the pub quite full consisting mainly of mature diners.The pub has a largish bar and a pleasant raised outdoor terrace at the rear.The 2 casks available were Robinsons Wizard and Robinsons Unicorn.

What a very nice pub Just by Rose hill train station a Robinsons house nicely decorated nice and clean very large car park to it. Outside theres is a very large sun Terrace and smoking area had a very good pint of Robinsons Unicorn.

The Railway is a Robinsons tied house about 5 mins walk from the middle of Marple.
I had a drink of Robinsons bitter which was a decent drink.
Pub visited 18 April 1989.
