A multi-roomed locals local. It had a social club feel to it and seemed to be frequented by a mixture of narky arses, jolly pensioners and workmen on my afternoon visit. No real ale and it doesn't look like it will have any anytime soon. It was a fairly average pub and there are much much better pubs close by.

When me and the wife went in this pub it was called the Bird in Hand, the pub is situated in a fairly quiet area with lots of flats around it.
Once inside we had a drink in the bar which was fairly basic and also very quiet on our early saturday dinner visit.
The pub was a Banks's tied house and there were two real ales on the bar we had a drink of Banks's mild which was a decent drink the other beer was Banks's bitter.
It is nice to see this pub still open shame about the name change.
