Ye Olde Cock Inn is an L-shaped Greene King pub with seating along the front windows to the left of the entrance and a bar up the right wall that faces a few high tables. There’s more seating at the rear on the way to an interesting beer garden full of separate seating areas, many of them are huts. Televisions are located throughout for showing Sky Sports, but nothing was on during my visit so some background music was playing. Live music is advertised for Friday nights.
The bar supports a premium keg range alongside six handpumps. Three of these were off and one was unused which left the option of two cask ciders. Pub co. food is available. The service was polite, but I didn’t see anything here that would have me rushing back.

Family/Gastro pub that isn't getting the same demands as the adjacent Chef and Brewer.

Greene King - Most handpulls turned around but I did see the usual GK offerings. So went for a Paulaner Weissbier.

TVs far too loud inside. Some seating outside.

A gastropub and it doesn't hide it. A large place that though nice has 'corporate' written all over it. Child friendly so expect whinging. It does however have 5 handpumps serving 5 different ales.

The Ye Olde Cock Inn is a large stand alone pub that is very close to the Didsbury pub, when i went in this pub it looked quite nice as it was painted white.
Once inside the pub was very smart and had an olde worde feel to it,i went in a smartish room that was carpeted and had a cosy feel to it.
When i visited this pub it was a Whitbread tied house and there were four real ales on the bar i had a drink of Coach House Gunpowder mild and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Whitbread Flowers bitter,Whitbread Trophey bitter and Boddingtons bitter.
This was a very nice pub that i enjoyed having a drink in.
