Alan Winfield left this review about Halfway House

The Halfway House was a decent looking pub stone built pub with the upper half being in mock tudor.
Once inside this pub had a couple of rooms and these were very smart and comfortable, the room i went in was carpeted and had normal tables and chairs and it had quite a cosy feel to it,this room was also very busy on my dinner time visit.
The pub was a Bass tied house and there was one real ale on the bar, i had a drink of Stone bitter and this was a decent drink.
This was quite a nice pub and i am sad to see that it has now closed down.
