The Trevor Arms is an open plan pub with a U-shaped bar on the rear wall that supports a standard and premium keg range alongside four handpumps. During a recent midweek late afternoon visit these were drawing Yardbird, abbot Ale and Timothy Taylor Landlord (x2).
The right hand side of the pub is wooden floored and the left has been laid with mosaic patterned lino. Seating runs up the left and right walls and there is a pillar circled with a beer shelf and bar stools. The interior is mostly wood with the odd flash of green tiling. Televisions are located throughout for watching BT and Sky Sports. There was nothing on during my visit so these televisions were muted in favour of some background music. Out the back is a small wedge shaped enclosed beer garden. I found the service to be very polite and the pub to be comfortable. This is a Greene King pub so it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but in an area full of trendy bars it was a relief to spend some time in here.

A large traditional pub and slightly out of place in the Chorlton cafe bar scene. However this made it all the more attractive to me. Two roomed with the larger lounge to your left. 4 handpumps on the bar and though the choice is uninspiring - Greene King IPA, Robbie's Dizzy Blonde, Cascade by someone and an unused pump today - it was a pleasant pub with down-to-earth customers. A beer yard is to the rear.

ROB Camra left this review about The Famous Trevor Arms

This is a proper pub, unlike most of Chorlton's drinking dens. This is where the non rich of Chorlton go for a beer. It's definitely a workingman's local. The language in the large taproom was rife with fffing, there's also a lounge which is a little more refined. There's a thin layer of interesting tiling arond the wall in the louge and some typical pub photo decoration. 4 handpumps on the bar, but only 2 beers on Cumberland Ale & Phoenix Arizona, so not the greatest selection of ale. My pint of Arizona was decent rather than good as well. I doubt if I'd bother to call in here next time I'm in Chorlton and I'd certainly not bring Ms CAMRA with me.
