Decent enough pub but only Doom Bar on when I called in. Much better options nearby but OK for one.

Through the entrance of the Mitre Hotel there is a bar on the left wall that supports a standard and premium keg range alongside two hand pumps that were drawing Sharps Doom Bar and JW Lees MPA during my weekday evening visit. A couple of steps at the end of the bar lead up to a long and thin seating area that opens up a bit at the rear with a raised seating area to the left. Muted Champions League football was being shown on a couple of televisions whilst the likes of Ed Sheeran played in the background. Food is available, the burger is priced at £14.
Whilst the service was polite, this place is more of a bar & restaurant that is best left to the unsuspecting tourists who are staying in the many rooms in the hotel above or who happen to drift in off the street.

with 4 pubs next to each other there should be no excuse for coming here but it was the only one open this morning. it isn't really anything resembling a pub, more café/bar - just the two hand pumps but there may be more in the other bar. didn't stick around long enough to care.

A massive refurbishment has taken place here since my last visit. There are now 2 distinct areas served by separate bars. One area is full of brown & beige seating and the other is very purple. Prince would feel at home here! There are lots of TV screens around the place, sport being shown in one bar and music videos in the other. 2 handpumps on each bar, sadly TT Landlord was off in both of them, leaving me with a Hobsons choice of Jennings Cumberland Ale, one of the blandest beers ever. I just had a half, which was just about OK. This pub used to be very old fashioned with no real ale. It's now very modern and has very averagely kept real ale. I'm not sure which I preferred really.

This is more of a trendy wine bar/cocktail place. There were two handpumps, only one in operation serving TT Landlord. Lots of trendy purple banquette seating and trendy wallpaper.

called in the Mitre Hotel Bar facing the Cathedral ordered 2 Halfs of Bitter He charged my son £5.80 I queried this he said it was a mistake and he had charged for 2 Pints, was it a mistake ??. If you do go in check the Decor it,s Horrendous

TV in the bar and an adjacent bistro area in this small reasonable priced Hotel near to Victoria Station. No Real Ale available.
