A nice multi-area Holts pub. 2 areas at either side of the entrance. A main lounge area is where the bar is and a small offshoot area to the left. A beer garden is to the rear. Several handpumps on the bar dispensing Holts beers. Holts Hat Trick was the more unfamiliar one today. A nice pub.

Large Holts pub close to the shopping centre. Two seperate rooms just off the entrance and one big room with bar also with seperate drinking areas. Wide range of Holts draught beers along with lots of bottled choice. Seems to be busiest in the afternoon mostly with older people. Can get packed when football is on t.v.

Nicely refurbished Holts pub, but it's lost whatever character it had in the process. There's a room to the right as you enter with a dartboard which was being well used on my visit. A further room to the left had horse racing on the TV. The main room has a raised area on the left hand side with the bar on the right. 4 handpumps on the go with 3 having Holts's beers available and Doom Bar on the fourth. I had a pint of Holts's Mild which was a bargain £2.22 and also in good nick. Fairly busy on my Friday, late afternoon visit. It's a decent, solid pub.

The Queens is very much as Al describes it although it is now a Joseph Holt pub with the usual range of beers on show.Called in early doors on a Tuesday and sampled a pint of MILD which was quite a decent drink.

The Queens is a large three storey pub that is just off the town centre,i did'nt like the look of this pub that much from the outside, once inside i went in a largish room that was more like a lounge, the room was carpeted and comfortable enough.
When i visited this pub it was a Bass tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Bass XXXX mild and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Bass bitter and Boddingtons bitter.
The drink was nice enough here but i was'nt that struck with this pub.
