There was just the one real ale on – London Pride of course, but at a reasonable price of £2.80 a pint. This is a smallish one room pub, which in this part of the world would cater mostly for regulars of course. Outside on the left is a beer garden. Inside there’s some banquette seating round the sides, plus some stools and chairs round the normal tables. It’s carpeted throughout, which tends to keep the noise levels down when a pub is crowded. For some reason the St Patrick’s Day decorations were still up; there was lots of rugby memorabilia on the walls; there were a couple of large screen TVs showing Sky Sports but muted; and they were playing Capital Radio through the speakers. However, a couple of paintings were the major internal decorations of note – one was a large painting of a rugby scene, and the other a painting of the crowded pub interior, featuring regulars presumably, and looking as if they were enjoying a lively ceilidh. This is not a bad little pub; nothing special, but the Pride was good.
