Graham Coombs left this review about The Ferryboat Inn

A superbly-located pub at the western extremity of the island which has been much extended and 'improved' over the years. It is now a comfortable food-led pub. Several distinct areas are spread around the central bar, all with a light nautical feel but avoiding the usual trap of hanging maritime junk everywhere. Outside there is an extensive waterside terrace. A reasonable if slightly mainstream range of draught ales included Tribute, Ghost Ship, Pedigree, Razorback and London Pride. Very pleasant at quiet times but best avoided at summer peaks. A word of warning on car parking: the car park next to the pub is minimum £3, refundable on food but not just drink (and ANPR controlled too). The adjacent council ferry beach car park is cheaper especially for short stays. There is no road parking.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Ferryboat Inn

Much-extended pub in a prime position at the entrance to Langstone Harbour and right by the eponymous transport service between Hayling and Portsea Islands. With various seating / dining areas in a slightly split-level arrangement around the central servery, there is plenty of space inside but on a fine day (as it was when I visited) the outdoor tables on the waterfront terrace offer a fantastic panorama. With two banks of three handpumps on different counters, the real ale selection was fairly mainstream but good value (e.g. Tribute at £3.00).

Quinno _ left this review about The Ferryboat Inn

Large tourist trap place majoring on deep fried grub. Little of note décor-wise bar the ship lights and curtained windows. Main selling point for the casual visitor is the decking overlooking the water. Two ales on, Doom Bar and a surprisingly good Pride. The rear room was booked for a wedding reception and Desmond was getting an eyeful of a busty lass in a tight red dress. Your scribe, however, gave his notes due diligence instead.

Went in lunchtime, bar empty, no one around, not even staff. So unable to review beers, food or anything else

At least I got some pictures of it
