Update 10 October 2015
Still four handpumps,Courage Best,Andwells Gold Muddler,Timothy Taylor Landlord and a house beer called "Bollicks" by Betts Brewery,it may well have been but I went for the Landlord which turned out to be rather average.

Five or six years ago this pub was my geographical local,I used it sparingly as the beer was ordinary and the service at times was diabolical, thankfully I relocated some four miles north and now have a worthwhile local. However I called in on my way home after work on a Sunday with the sole intention of catching the second half of the Man U Chelsea Game. A fairly large pub, basically open plan but with a defined dining area to one end,a mix of carpet and stone tiled flooring with a low ceiling ,but painted white giving the room a light airy feel. There are several flat screens for sporting events as per the reason for my visit. A long bar is home to four hand pumps and ample keg taps for run of the mill lagers, cider and the obligatory Guinness. The cask beers are still unimaginative and consisted of Courage Best,Doombar, Hobgoblin and thwaites Lancaster Bomber, I had a pint of the latter as it is the least common beer in this area of the assembled cast, it was nice enough. There is a beer garden and carpark, the pub was packed for the football and I failed to to note if the pool table and dart board are still in place,I suspect that they are.Its under new management nowadays since I have moved on and on my visit despite how busy the pub was the service was quick and efficient. A decent stop off now but I wouldnt go out of my way to visit given the ordinary beer lineup .
