Town centre Wetherspoon's with the old blue and gold livery, busy on a Saturday night with Fleet's finest. I was heavily out-tattoed and one pubgoer had his face and head covered in them. Luckily for me though, my Purple Moose Calon Lân was excellent and a surprisingly-reasonable £1.49.

This looks like it might have once been an original pub but apparently is not. It's more pub-like than some of their outlets that actually were once pubs.
Inside it's a single room done out in the old school Spoons manner with an extension at the back.
There are two banks of six hand pumps but the benefit of this was largely negated by the fact that the two GK beers and Loddon's Ferryman's Gold were doubled up. There was an unusual cider on sale. The remaining five beers were Exmoor Gold, Windsor & Eton Canberra, Twickenham Winter Cheer, Caledonian / Baird Rising Sun Pale Ale and Dark Star Original. I went for the Dark Star Original (£2.75) which I'm not sure was entirely right. It's currently GBG listed but to be honest I didn't even see any other pubs between here and Fleet Station.

Update - October 2015
Service still generally poor, beer availability today was very poor, about 5 of a possible 12 were on,(something to look forward to, Doombar coming soon,)sorry about the sarcasm. The quality of the beer I managed to choose ,West Berks Maggs Mild, was also very poor,I hasten to say this is not a jewel in the crown.
Update-April 2013
On my last couple of visits I have found the beer quality to have improved greatly, the bar staff friendly but poorly organised, although the pub was nowhere near full there was at all times a queue of six or seven waiting to be served by the lone bar person who had no idea who was first in line, and if coffee was involved the wait could be considerable I witnessed at least two separate customers leave without a drink. They seem to have improved the quality of the beer they now need to sort out the service.
Original review July 2012
A pretty average wetherspoons in my view ,typical Wetherspoons interior and impressive range of beers but quality and service let this place down. I'm not a great fan of this chain anyway but this is one of their poorer effort's .

Typical Spoons pub with good value food and a range of real ales. Small heated patio at the rear. Mixture of seating available, can get a bit loud at times.
Our first pint was off but changed without fuss.
Pay and Dispaly parking adjacent to pub.
