The (Old) George is in the middle of the village and a central part of the village's history. It is an 18th century coaching inn and one of the oldest buildings in the village.
The pub is split in to two bars, a lounge and sports bar. The sports bar has pool, darts and a wide screen tv showing sky sports. The lounge bar has a lower key atmosphere but also has tv's showing sport.
There is live music every Sat night with some outstanding musicians and bands, some of whom have been in the music charts.
There is a wide range of beverages available, including two real ales. There is no food area but sandwiches are available from the bar.
There is a patio area to the rear, with established vines giving shade and a heater for the colder weather.
A real pub with friendly staff and customers.
