Clive Thompson left this review about The Wishing Well

The Wishing Well underwent an extensive refurbishment, making it a brighter place and much more open plan. It reopened in December 2019 under the same name but is clearly aimed at a younger, more monied, clientele. Basic pub food and snacks are available. It is still a big sports focused pub with multiple screens around the premises. Despite the signage claiming they offer craft and cask beers there are no cask beers, and there doesn't appear to be any room on the bar for pumps to be added. Craft beers are from Beavertown and Camden and are priced at over £5 a pint. I'm not sure that this part of Watford warrants those sorts of prices but they have been busy in the first few weeks of opening.

No real ales, it’s OK for a pint of Guinness but a bit more expensive that others locally. Staff can seem a bit disinterested. Good for live sports and has a popular Thai menu.
