The Red Lion is a basic looking corner pub, just the sort of pub i really like doing.
Once inside there are two separate rooms, the room to the right was not in use,the left hand room is oblong shaped and runs to the rear, the bar is on the left side, there are normal tables and chairs to the front right and a pool table to the rear.
I was not expecting any real ales in this pub,so was surprised to see three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Eight Arch Corbel, which was a very nice drink, there was also Milk Street The usual and Totally Brewed Crazy Like a Fox,there was also a real cider on the bar.
Background music was playing and there was some political type posters on the walls.
I really liked this pub,one i could settle in for a session if i lived locally.

Update Friday 24th it's open seems to be a evening opener with no details of opening time. Couple of bitters and a draught cider on tap. Tonight has youngish crowd with DJ setup in the righthand room. Open bar on left handside with pool table in an adjoining room on the way to the beer garden. Bring your ear plugs.
The last few times I've tried to go here for a drink it's always been shut. It was however open on NYE 2011 when I was on my way to another pub. Hope it's not lost.
