Quinno _ left this review about The Bull

Large modern sports pub in a big solid looking building. Inside consists of numerous rooms knocked-through. Fairly dull, all quite beige, even the large domed skylight in the rear area is covered over. There is a original stained glass window panel depicting a bull's head, which is nice but it looks like a random leftover. Four cask (a surprise); GK IPA, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Sharps Doom Bar and Moorhouse Factor 66 (NBSS 2.5). Fine for what it is, given the other pubs nearby are quite nicely done then I guess this place needs to exist as is to satisfy a chunk of local market. It wasn’t short of customers. 5.5

A decent sized pub comprising of three seating areas. Two front sections, with the first lounge hosting a small booth enclosed booth on the left of the entrance, the walls in this lounge area were painted in green. The further front lounge was finished in Terracotta painted walls and featured three booths along the front windows, each with their own flat screen TVs. The back lounge or bar area had blue painted walls and had an original stained glass window panel depicting a bull's head. The pub had a lot of good sized wall mounted screens around the place and some annoying music was playing on our 11.30am visit. The L shaped bar area served the front and back lounge and was finished with a teal painted front along with a oak counter. Six pumps, serving Bombardier, Wainwright, Banks Amber, TT Landlord, GK IPA and Wadworth Dirty Rucker.

Another large pub. Open plan with an L-shaped bar. 6 handpumps serving 3 casks from Thwaites. A satisfying traditional pub.

I visited Poulton-Le-Fylde on a Tuesday 22/07/2014 and I found that due to local licensing laws all places that sell alcohol on that day & date only were closed. The Bull features live music once a month on a Thursday evening. There is a resident DJ every Friday and Saturday from 8pm till Midnight. Plenty of televsions for live sporting events. There are promotion events for meals 2 meals for £7.95 all day and every day. 2 for 1 on deserts. The opening hours are Sun - Wed 11am - 11pm Thurs - Sat 11am –midnight. Check out their website for further promotions. www.bullhotelpoulton-le-fylde.co.uk.
