Visited this pub recently and was very impressed. Usual Greene King ales IPA & Abbotts. Was impressed with the food and service. I gather that this pub is now under new management. As I visited at night time could not get a good sight of the gardens but looked spacious. Will certainly visit again.

Visit this pub and you will find the surliest landlord I have ever encountered.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fox and Hounds

Greene King pub ideally located for those walking in the National Trust woodland high on the Greensand Ridge. The small rooms inside the old part of the bulding have been partially opened out but it has been extended with a dining area to the rear. There is also a fair-sized beer garden to one side which is very popular in fine weather. Annoyingly, they stopped doing food just before we arrived in mid afternoon (although they had moved on to cream teas which seemed to be in demand with others). Three real ales on handpump - IPA, Abbot and a reasonable Morland Original.

When last we were at this remote little pub, there was a dining area, a two sided fireplace & 2 taps. It has since had a change of management & we are hoping to stop in again soon. Factoid: Toys Hill is the highest point in Kent. There's something to toast! The inn yard is open and welcoming in summer, dotted with primroses.
