E TA left this review about The Prince of Wales

A pub whose clientele consists mostly of regulars, the Prince of Wales is a small town pub just off the main road on a corner opposite the big supermarket. There is a reasonable sized main bar on the corner side with a piano, dart board and gaming machine, and a smaller bar (known as the pool room) with a jukebox and pool table to the right of the main entrance. The decor was eclectic - psychedelic ceiling patterns contrasted with a wood burner and Victorian fireplace. Music in the main bar is supplied (other than by piano) through an iPod docking station. An unusual touch, there is a selection of old fashioned sweets in glass jars behind the bar, sold by the quarter. The customers were exclusively the younger element, but they were welcoming and a decent bunch rather then the yoofs seen elsewhere. The barman was a bit punky-looking but was friendly enough.

There was only one ale on, Wells's Eagle IPA. It was past its best but still drinkable.

The pub is currently for sale so its future is uncertain, but it's worth popping in now as it does have a certain dated charm which, I suspect, any future owner may destroy during rennovation.
