Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cock Inn

For many years, this was the only Youngs pub in these parts but it was sold to Shepherd Neame at the end of July 2010 (much to the surprise of the landlord who was on holiday at the time!). However, things have settled down again and this remains a very popular food-orientated pub within a historic building which retains plenty of charm. Numerous bench/tables in the patio area. Beer-wise, the offering is usually Master Brew plus Spitfire and/or Late Red and a seasonal or guest (although there were two of the latter - Acorn Barnsley Bitter and Broughton Merlin's Ale (£3.50) - on my recent visit). Thankfully the quality is still as good as ever, and there is a 20p/pint discount for Camra members.

An Elizabethan gem dog friendly close to fabulous walks. Award winning food and real ales, roaring inglenook in winter, air conditioned in summer. Great staff, great atmosphere. Don't miss the gigantic sunday lunch or the fantastic Seafood !!
