Blue Scrumpy left this review about The West End Tap

This pub/bar has recently re-opened following a Covid-19 scare and deep clean. I'd deliberately left it until (almost) last, as it has late night opening until 12:30 on a Friday and Saturday night. Or at least it did have until Boris decided that Covid can only be caught after 9:30!

It's a simple one-roomed corner pub in a residential area, with an outdoor area at the rear. Service was friendly and whilst the ale range was disappointing (possibly due to its recent closure) - just Greene King IPA & Timothy Taylor Landlord, they did have 4 ciders - Weston's Old Rosie & Lilley's Mango Cider, Rhubarb Cider & Tropical Cider. So, I left feeling relatively content.

Another decent place. Inverted L-shaped room with bar to the left. Three hand pumped ales and two ciders, the rest keg. Another beer garden to rear.

A B left this review about The West End Tap

The Vine has been reopened as The West End Tap with a more modern craft feel. Small, friendly corner pub in a smart but studenty suburb of Lincoln. I went in on a Friday night to find it pleasantly bustling. There were 5 cask ales on in top condition, including beer from Oakham, Thornbridge and the local Tom Woods brewery. There were also 4 craft keg beers available (at sensible prices!) including Beerd from London and Brooklyn brewery from. err.. Brooklyn. I think they managed to get the balance right between a traditional local's pub and a craft beer bar aimed at the students, both of whom seemed to be mingling happily. The bar staff were friendly. I have no idea if they do food.

Generally very impressed, a good addition to Lincoln's sometimes underwhelming pub scene.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Vine Inn

The Vine is a small and decent looking corner pub that is well away from the city centre.
I went in a small room on the corner and this was very busy but sadly there were no real ales on the bar with the only bitter being fizzy John Smiths smooth so i had a Guinness.
This is a decent small pub that would be improved if there was a real ale on the bar.
