Alan Winfield left this review about The Lincoln Imp

I first visited this pub with a couple of mates while doing a weekend pub crawl of Lincoln back on 26 March 1983 when the pub was a John Smiths tied house with no real ales on the bar.

On a very recent revisit the pub seems pretty much unaltered with three separate rooms,i had a drink in the bar room which is smallish and oblong shaped, the bar is to the front right, the room is carpeted and the seating comfy bench type and chairs, there was a TV on showing horse racing.
There is a separate pool room to the rear which is square shaped and has comfy bench seating, there is a larger lounge to the left which i think was not in use on my Saturday afternoon visit.
There was one real ale on the bar which was John Smiths Cask, this went down well.
The room was quite busy with older locals.
This pub is a good walk from the middle of Lincoln, but i thought it was worth it.
