Blue Scrumpy left this review about Einstein

I was last in this bar almost 10 years ago when it was part of the Walkabout chain. It's a vast place with a slight German theme and spread over 2 levels, with balconies looking down over the bar below.

Football was showing (Liverpool). So, the place was packed with fans who were both eating and drinking whilst watching the game. With seating crammed in on the ground floor, it made getting to the lengthy bar a bit of a challenge. Beers were Hus Pilsner, Saxe Coburg Apfel Cider, Beavertown Neck Oil, Stella, Carling, Guinness, Moretti, Fruli, ABK Hell, Heineken, Strongbow Dark Fruit, Staropramen, Erdinger, Spaten, Paulaner, Warsteiner & Corona.

None of this was particularly inspiring for me and the cider tasted suspiciously like Strongbow. It's brash, noisy and typical of the bars in this area of Liverpool. To be avoided, unless you're after a lively night out with lots of lager lager.

Now open as Einstein Bier Haus. The old Walkabout pub has now been refitted out as a German beer bar. The layout is as before - large, barnlike places on two floors with a sunken bit opposite the ground floor bar. A total of 24 keg fonts on the bar with 12 German(ish) keg beers doubled up. About a hundred tellies for your sport. Usual Concert Square divvies in attendance. I don't know what German pubs are like in Germany but hopefully they aren't similar to this place. It wasnt as busy as it was hoping to be today thanks, ironically, to our German goalkeeper. Noisy, dull and fairly rubbish.

6/4/18:
Closed. Whether for refurbishment, rebranding or permanently I don't know but either way its currently shut. UPDATE: Is to reopen as Einstein Bier Haus.

9/6/15:
Cavernous Australian themed bar and like all things Australia, dull. No drinkable beer of any kind.
