The long U-shaped bar in Fletcher Moss supports 14 handpumps, seven at the front and seven at the rear. The full Hydes cask range is available. A poster in the toilet lists the bi-monthly Ralf & Alf range for 2022, so starting from January and February - Board Walk and then Made in Paradise, The HAC Best, Fruity Pig, Sankey’s Smoke and Pip Squeak. Being September, Sankey’s Smoke was available. Ralf & Alf Hog Reeve was also on so maybe this is a regular. Standard and premium keg is also available. Tradition seating areas with banquettes are found to the left and right of the entrance. There are a couple of tables to the right of the front bar and a beer shelf runs down the left wall to a large wooden floored open plan conservatory extension at the rear. This area has some high tables in the centre and standard tables and chairs around the curved exterior walls. Televisions are dotted about for airing Sky Sports.
Out the back is a large beer garden with seating under a jumbrella on the patio and on an AstroTurf area beyond. I found the service to be polite and this was by far the busiest pub I visited during a crawl of Didsbury. I liked it in here and would have no problem returning.

GBG 2022 entry and the pick of the Didsbury Pubs. Just off the main road but well worth the short deviation. Quite a sprawling pub, with a fine covered beer garden too.

Hydes Lowry in excellent condition.

No changes since my last visit really. It's still a cracking pub but I was a bit earlier during my Friday visit this time, so I could see that there are some nice fireplaces and a large beer garden to the rear. My pint of Hydes Lowry was in good nick and by the time I was leaving the pub was packed as usual.

One very large room, but with separate areas. This pub is always packed when I visit, mind you it's usually on a Friday night. Lots of teapots around the pub, but it's always difficult to see much else because of the crowds. Usually 3 Hydes beers on tap with an occasional guest. The beers are always in good nick. Named after an Alderman of the area who donated the nearby Botanical gardens to the town. It's a good pub, but extremely popular.

A pub well worth visiting. Still lots of different areas to drink but this is a well kept traditional pub. A very shiny varnished floor greets you from whichever entrance you choose. Real ale available. Lovely pub.

Quite like the pub, particularly the original section to the front which I guess comprised the old Albert, but can't exactly remember. Decent range of Hydes offerings & occasional guest, but my last couple of pints of Jekyll's have not been in top condition; do they pull them all through properly at lunchtime?

The Fletcher Moss is situated in the back streets of didsbury.
When i visited this pub it was called the Albert Inn but a few years after my visit for some strange reason Hydes decided to change the pubs name to its present one.
This was a proper old locals pub and there were a few different rooms inside i had a drink in the bar which was fairly basic but a decent enough room.
This pub is a Hydes tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Hydes bitter and this was a decent drink the other beers were Hydes dark mild and light mild.
This was a decent enough pub and it is nice to see that it is still up and running.
