Another Kinger’s Craft Union pub. A bit more earthy than its sister The Maid’s (see what I did there?) and busier as well. Reverse C shaped interior which opens out to pool and darts at the far end and to a patio garden beyond. There's been some level of refurbishment but more superficial than anything - just a gloop of paint over the woodwork and walls. Of amusement was the black puppy zooming around which kept the locals enraptured. Three cask pumps with two on, Doom Bar and a surprise of Adnams Ghost Ship which was in good nick (NBSS 3.5). Not exactly top of the crawl list but the cask quality and friendly atmosphere means I can happily say it’s worth a go. 6.5

I should have taken a photo of this one as the ghastly dark red colour of current photographs has now gone to be replaced with a more pleasant battleship grey frontage with a white lettering on a black background name sign that does confirm you have found the Eagle.
I didn’t have a lot of hope for this one as the outside also has multiple signs for sky sports and advertising boards for offers on shots and standard lager products. But was pleasantly surprised to find three ale pumps on the bar. The middle one was unused and Adnams Ghost Ship and Sharps Doom Bar was on the other two and the Ghost Ship was perfectly fine. A fairly large space internally but a lot of it dominated by TV Screens, a pool table and a stage area where I believe live music is regularly put on. Fairly empty and soulless for my lunchtime visit, but I believe this is more of an evening venue for the younger Kings Lynn crowd, especially as it is situated on a street which contains several other late night party type venues
