Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Crown

2 room village pub with a small undercover outdoor seating area to the front of the pub. I seem to recall a garden to the rear too.

Just a few locals had gathered, some inside and some outside. The landlord and landlady were present. Sharp's Doom Bar is the regular ale. The guest beer was Green Jack Trawlerboys. This was our 8th pub of the day and was notable in that it didn't have Wherry on. The Trawlerboys was a more than adequate replacement.

I note from the pub's Facebook page that somebody in the village seems to have a grudge against the pub, by telling everybody that it is closed. However, it is definitely open and despite not being a destination pub, it's in a country pub in a very nice village and is deserved of your custom.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Crown

Cosy village local with the main bar at the front and a quieter room behind leading into a restaurant area. Good reputation for food, although not especially cheap. Apparently was an early example of a community buying a pub threatened with closure and then run as a free house for many years, but subsequently sold to Greene King which restricts the available beers somewhat. Seemed in good condition though - the beers and the pub.
