The Magnet is a large estate pub just a short walk off the main tang hall lane. once inside the pub has a very nice comfy and warm atmosphere. On my visit the pub was very empty except a few regulars sat at the bar. The drinks selection was quite poor with three hand pumps but only john smiths cask in use, this was average at best and not one of the best examples of this dink I have had at £3.20 a pint. sadly this would stop me from returning the future but if more beers were available and in better nick this would be a nice pub to drop into.

The Magnet looks like a 50s built pub and not that appealing from the outside but once inside it was a lot better.
This pub has got three rooms i went in the bar which was on the right side of the pub this was a decent enough room with bench seats and it was carpeted and there was a large TV and pool table in here, the lounge was to the left and there was another room to the rear this was in darkness. This pub still had its original layout which is unusuall these days.
There were two real ales on here i had a drink of John Smiths cask and this was a nice drink the other beer was Theakston best.
The pub was fairly busy in both rooms and i thought this was quite a nice pub to have a drink in.
