Old Boots left this review about The Buck Inn

A rather uninspiring brick building but the pub has a good reputation for food. A rustic front room is furnished with leather tub chairs and round tables but also with a couple of dining tables, the walls are rough plastered, there's lots of wood and exposed brickwork. Two handpumps with Copper Dragon and Daleside beers in average nick. A few odd artifacts lurk on window ledges and there is a dartboard which might by usable if some rearrangement of the furniture takes place. Behind the front room , up some steps is another seating area with a further but bare counter face, beyond that is the formal restaurant area. The feeling that it's a bit of a mix between old village pub and modern restaurant, was reinforced by the presence of posters advertising a beer and music festival and a front garden set up to play, I believe quoits, the only thing missing were a few bucolic regulars.
