Steve C left this review about The Gloucester

The Gloucester is a town centre boozer that had about ten people in during a recent Tuesday evening visit. There is seating under the front windows to the left and right of the entrance and an L-shaped bar is found on the rear wall to the left. To the right is a dartboard on the rear wall next to banquette seating that faces a pool table in the right rear corner. Televisions are located throughout for showing football, nothing live was on during my visit so these were muted while some background music played. The bar supports standard and premium keg, and I counted three hand pumps. One was unused and the other two were reverse clipped, one of which was Sharp’s Doom Bar. The service was polite, but this place has the feel of a chain high street boozer so I don’t plan to return.

Mild Drinker left this review about The Gloucester

Looking rather impressive from the outside The Gloucester advertises Cask Ales on the board outside. On entering I see Pedigree as the only offering. I asked for this and was told it's not available. I had a Guinness instead which was fine. Lots of TVs and a small and smart courtyard at the back, I can imagine this is popular on a weekend evening. Nothing to recommend for the ale drinker.
