The Trading Post is a large out-of-town Marston’s pub located adjacent to Junction 8 of the A14 so it is dry led with the entire left hand side being given over to the carvery. The bar counter on the rear wall faces the entrance and to the right is an over 16s seating area with a large television that was showing muted Sky Sports News. I’m not sure if live sport is shown as my visit was early on a recent mid-week evening so there was no football being played. Outside are a few picnic tables and a children’s play area with climbing apparatus.
The bar supports Standard keg alongside Peroni and San Miguel. There are also three hand pumps that were drawing Pedigree, Wainwright and Wychwood’s Hobgoblin. The service was friendly, but this isn’t somewhere I would visit just for a beer, even if it was more accessible on foot from town.

A fairly attractive Marstons run pub on the edge of Kettering next to the A14. As expected this is mainly a food pub. Only offerings ale wise was Hobgoblin and Pedigree which I had at a steep £4. I have eaten here previously and can confirm that the food is of a good standard, but there's nothing here for real ale fans.
